We still don’t know

“Choreographic dissipation is a declaration of the body’s independence, as it subtracts itself from the order of its needs through excess. (…) It’s up to each and every one of us to join in and accept the idea that any body that strives to live must also agree to lose”, writes Florian Gaieté in Tout à danser s’épuise.
For this second attempt, we’d like to bring together dancers from different backgrounds to experiment and exchange through the body the premises of a collective dance research project. Driven by this desire to redefine the contours of our practices, we want to form a group that, through dance, finds its own modalities of interaction. The point of departure for this next encounter would be the idea of the free expenditure of energy inspired by Florian Gaieté’s text, which calls for the reappropriation of our expenditure and our fatigue.
