Martyre

Coproduced by Le Gymnase CDCN<br>
In partnership with Théâtre de l’Oiseau-Mouche

Malika Djardi’s artistic projects emerge from the issues she encounters in her own life, which she then poses on stage in a more universal way. Her mother, Marie-Bernadette Philippon, has Alzheimer’s and lives in a nursing home. Despite the pain and the limits imposed by her body, she started dancing, creating a new way of expressing herself. By combining dance and documentary video, Martyre questions our journeys through life and the usefulness of suffering.
