To promote choreographic sector and performing art for young people, Le Gymnase CDCN is involved in some professional networks.

National Centre of Choreographic Development (CDCN)

Le Gymnase is one of sixteen National Choreographic Development Centres (CDCN) in France. Spread across the country and supported by the State and local authorities, the CDCNs are dedicated to supporting the creation and dissemination of choreographic performances, assisting teams and artists, and promoting and raising awareness of dance.

INTERNATIONAL NETWORK FOR CHILDREN’S AND YOUTH DANCE



Building on the international relations of the LOOP network, Le Gymnase is behind the first international network for children’s and youth dance, bringing together 24 organisations in 15 countries. By strengthening exchanges and sharing, this network aims to extend the support and development of choreographic creation for young audiences on an international scale.

LA DANSE EN GRANDE FORME

La Danse en Grande Forme brings together 13 organisations involved in the production and dissemination of large-scale choreographic works (more than 10 performers). The scheme supports the development of ambitious creations and their dissemination to a wide audience. Each selected project benefits from substantial co-production support and shared programming. A new co-production is launched every two years.

EUROPEAN DANCE DEVELOPMENT NETWORK

EDN / European Dance Development Network is a European network comprising 55 organisations based in 29 European countries. The members of the network pool their energy and expertise to carry out joint projects and develop partnerships and exchanges. They all pursue the same fundamental goal: the development and promotion of choreographic art in all its forms, supporting artists, audiences and venues for creation and dissemination.

LES PETITES SCÈNES OUVERTES (PSO)

Bringing together nine organisations across France, the association Les Petites Scènes Ouvertes supports and promotes young choreographers. Every year, in a different city, it organises La Grande Scène, a major event dedicated to emerging creativity, as well as co-productions and tours within the network.

Founded after La Belle Saison with childhood and youth, Scènes d’enfance – ASSITEJ France brings together all the forces in this sector. It supports cooperative initiatives in the regions and abroad, defends the interests of the profession, and promotes innovative cultural policies that support youth creativity.

L’L | CHERCHER AUTREMENT EN ARTS

Based in Brussels, L | chercher autrement en arts vivants supports long-term research practices that deliberately exist outside the usual chain of production and representation. Each year, Le Gymnase welcomes artist-researchers in residence, offering them a space for experimentation.

NOUVEAU GRAND TOUR

The Nouveau Grand Tour, conceived by the French Institute in Italy, is a residency programme for young European talents under the age of 30, deployed in Italy and France via a network of partner institutions. It supports artists in their artistic research without any production requirements, promoting exchanges with local cultural scenes.
