20 danseureuses pour le XXe siècle (extraits)

A programme organised by the Centre des Monuments Nationaux as part of the Vivant Monument initiative

A dance museum as a living monument. For this extraordinary project by Boris Charmatz, ten performers bring to life iconic solos – whether acclaimed or forgotten – ranging from ballet to butoh, from Charlie Chaplin to hip hop. 20 danseureuses pour le XXe siècle (extraits) takes over the spaces of Villa Cavrois and transforms this iconic heritage site into a living archive, to be explored freely like a moving exhibition. From the drawing room to the garden, bodies emerge and reinterpret the spaces. A rare experience, enjoyed whilst strolling through the site, creating your own journey through dance, memory and architecture.

Calling all collaborators: Join the artists on part of their journey and accompany them to the heart of Villa Cavrois.
