Julie Botet was born with a very rare tongue malformation. At the age of four, she underwent a glossectomy, a major operation that profoundly affected her relationship with language and with herself. Lymph Blood Story 9424 unfolds like an ‘autofictional freak show’ in which Julie revisits this long-buried experience. In this solo performance, she combines a variety of materials: medical imagery, documentation and texts, for a dancing dive into abnormality, between discomfort and fascination.
