Kuroko

Co-programmed by Le Vivat Scène conventionnéeLogo Vivat

In traditional Japanese theatre, the kuroko, dressed in black and invisible to the audience, always works behind the scenes, moving sets or manipulating puppets. Ikue Nakagawa draws inspiration from this character to explore her own emotional discretion: the silent effort to hide her feelings from others. By extending her dance through drawing, she unites the gestures of the body and the line in an introspective approach.
