Blast!

Coproduced by Le Gymnase CDCN – Coproduction commune du réseau des CDCN

In English, the word blast has several meanings: a violent explosion, a gust of wind, a strong and sudden note like the blow of a whistle, and an exciting experience. Through the expressiveness of her gestures and features, Ruth Childs takes on a polymorphous character. Within a matter of seconds, she can be tortured, soothed, harsh, strange, brutal, comical… In dialogue with Stéphane Vecchionne’s percussion, she personifies human violence in order to subdue and overcome it.
