Double impact. Breaking with the usual process, the dancer Sati Veyrunes has chosen two solos from the repertoire of international choreographers to make them her own. In Motor Unit, her body is thus confronted with two contrasting physical styles. On the one hand, the athletic, jerky dance of Adrienn Hód, dictated by an obsessive countdown. On the other, the ground-level ritual of Erna Ómarsdóttir, verging on a trance. By performing these two pieces in quick succession, the performer seems to undergo a metamorphosis; indeed, it is hard to recognise the same person.
