Coproduction Le Gymnase CDCN
The idea stems from a phrase written on a university wall: ‘Beauty will save the world.’ Emmanuel Eggermont questions an optimism that is losing steam in the face of bleak prospects. He sets out to meet the younger generations to gather their sources of inspiration: music, films, video games… From these references, often tinged with violence and melancholy, Open my chest and place our tomorrows inside emerges. Like a thoracic opening, as the title suggests, this choreographic and musical solo explores what still drives us.
